2005 Gala
In February of 2005, the Tepeyac Family Center became an LLC under the non-profit healthcare organization called Divine Mercy Care. In organizing the Second Annual Gala, the Friends of Divine Mercy Care moved the event to the brand new ballroom at the Dulles Hilton in Herndon, VA. 375 supporters turned out for the "angel themed" event on December 3, 2005. The Susan M. Torres Award was presented to Kathryn Scheibmeier. The Divine Mercy Care Award was presented to Paul and Miriam Byers. More than $125,000.00 was raised for the charitable healthcare operations of Divine Mercy Care.
