“At sunset, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to Him. He laid his hands on each of them and cured them.” (Luke, 4:40)
Physician and apostle St. Luke tells us that Jesus laid his hands on people and cured their bodies, and in so doing, healed their souls as well. His mission is now ours. Divine Mercy Care, inspired by the same spirit that moved the early Christians, is dedicated to renewing society by respecting the dignity of every person and embracing a culture of life.
Mission:
Founded on the Jubilee Day for life, October 1, 2000, our mission is to spread the light of Christ by performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy in the delivery of care in order to help build a civilization of love and life.
Vision:
Our vision is to create a Catholic healthcare organization in Northern Virginia that provides a continuum of health services to include acute care, long term care, home health services, medical education and to become interwoven in the fabric of our community and our culture.
Divine Mercy Care is a 501 © 3 non-profit organization performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy by delivering:
- Full obstetrical/gynecological care, including pregnancy preparation, prenatal care and delivery.
- Natural Family Planning and fertility awareness/infertility treatment.
- Medical/Nutritional education
- Support for families who have lost children
- Perinatal Hospice Services through The Kristen Anderson Memorial Fund
Just as Jesus never traveled far from his home, so are we focused on our local area – serving people in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Divine Mercy Care touches those most in need in our communities.
Divine Mercy Care is responding to a society grappling with out-of-wedlock pregnancies, the epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases and a wide spread of failure of marriages.
The beleaguered state of the family has not been helped by our current healthcare crisis. Increasing malpractice insurance rates are driving competent doctors out of their practices. Escalating medical treatment costs are pushing people to the insecure realm of the uninsured. Worst of all, respect for the human person has been lost.
Commitment:
For Divine Mercy Care, helping all families is crucial to our mission. We are committed to:
- Strengthening the fabric of society by helping couples welcome children into their lives.
- Working with mothers through healing prayer, medical and nutritional support.
- Providing affordable healthcare for the insured, the underinsured and the poor.
- Serving our patients with Christian love.
We will serve where others cannot. In fact, we are the only full-time Catholic healthcare organization in the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
